Chilean-Danish Business Council

The Chilean Danish Business Council (CDBC) was established on 2 June 2004, with the first official meeting taking place 3 September 2004. At present the Council counts 19 members.

The Council is an informal forum where businesses and business representatives with activities in Chile and Denmark can establish a network and where it is possible to meet and exchange ideas and experiences. The membership is open to all businesses and business representatives with an interest in Chilean-Danish commercial relations.

The Council meets 4-5 times a year and during these meeting we may invite relevant guest speakers. Company visits can be arranged, as well as business-to-business meetings. The members themselves actively run the Council, while the Embassy of Denmark in Santiago acts as secretariat.

The members receive relevant material. We will send invitations to special events that may be of interest and it is possible for members to participate in joint Nordic events arranged by the Nordic Chambers of Commerce/Business Councils.

The membership year runs from 1 January to 31 December. The membership fee is CLP 400,000 pr. person/company. Only one name can be connected to one membership – however, this does not exclude the possibility of sending a representative to a meeting on your behalf. In fact, we encourage the companies to be present at every meeting/event.

The fee covers the cost of the secretariat. When presented with wishes to invite non-members to the meetings, the secretariat will evaluate the possibility of participation depending on the physical space available. Breakfast or a light lunch when the meetings take place at the Embassy is included. In the event that a meeting takes place at another location than at the Embassy, the associated costs will be charged separately, if relevant.

To join the Council please contact Head of Commercial Department, Maria Mesonero Kromand, at the Embassy of Denmark at [email protected] or +56 (2) 2941 5100.
